Frequently Asked Questions

What is a stage plot?
A stage plot is a visual diagram showing instrument positions, monitor locations, and technical requirements for a live performance. It is used by FOH engineers, monitor engineers, and production managers to prepare for a show before load-in.
How do I make a stage plot?
Drag instruments onto the stage in stage·left. The input list generates automatically with K·S·H sorting. Export to PDF, PNG, or native console files when you're done.
What consoles does stage·left export to?
stage·left exports native files for Behringer X32/M32 (.scn scene files), Yamaha CL/QL (.CLF binary and CSV), and Allen & Heath dLive (.tar.gz). More consoles are coming soon. Pro users get every new format automatically.
Is stage·left free?
Yes. The free tier includes 3 saved plots, all instrument icons, and console file export with a small watermark. Pro is $25 one-time for unlimited plots, clean exports, and all future console formats.
Does it work offline?
Yes. stage·left is a PWA that works fully offline after the first visit. No internet connection required at the venue.
What is K·S·H sorting?
K·S·H is the industry standard input list ordering: Kick, Snare, Hi-hat first, then toms, overheads, percussion, bass, guitars, keys, and vocals. stage·left applies this automatically so your input list is always in the right order.
Can I share my stage plot with a QR code?
Yes. Every PDF and PNG export includes a QR code. Anyone with stage·left can scan it to load the complete plot with all channels, colors, and routing.
What happened to StagePlotPro?
StagePlotPro is no longer actively maintained. stage·left is a modern alternative with native console file export, mobile support, offline capability, and QR code sharing.
