Desk vs Desk
Desks differ, and the differences decide what survives a file. Here is exactly how — every cell below is read out of the app's own registries at build time, so this page cannot say one thing while the app does another.
Nothing here is typed by hand. If load·in learns to write a field tomorrow, this table changes when the app does or the build fails. The row that matters most is the one nobody advertises: preserved, not written — the settings load·in deliberately leaves alone in your file instead of overwriting them with a guess.
From one desk to another
You mix on one desk and get handed a file for a different one. Pick the desk you have and the desk you are moving to. This shows what carries across, what folds to the new desk’s narrower range, and what load·in does not carry — read from the same registries as the table below.

Notes
- “modelled” vs “file-proven.” A desk marked file-proven has its channel strip confirmed against real show files written by that console. A desk marked modelled is built from the manufacturer’s documentation and from show files we have on hand, but has not been through that same check — its controls and ranges are our best honest reading, not a measurement. Check those at the console before a show that matters.
- “Not offered” is a fact about the app, not about the console. Where load·in has no control or no decode for something, this page says so plainly — it never turns that into a claim that the desk cannot do it. Several consoles here have features load·in does not yet touch, and their cells say “not offered”, not “not on this desk”.
- A dash is not a “no.” It means the app’s registry declares nothing for that cell, so neither we nor the page will claim one way or the other.
- Ranges are what load·in will hold you to for that desk, not a specification of the console. Where a manufacturer’s range is wider than ours, the app is the narrower of the two on purpose.
- Yamaha DM7 Compact is supported in the app but deliberately does not inherit any column above — it has no verified captures of its own, and inheriting a sibling’s strip shape would be a guess. It is exported with the app’s default surface and says so at export time.
Generated from the app’s own registries — the same ones the export screen reads. Capability data version 2026-09-02. Rebuild with npm run desk-limits; npm run test:desk-limits fails the build if this table and the app ever disagree.
