Build a Reaper template from an input list

Multitrack recording or virtual soundcheck starts with labeled tracks that match your input list. load·in exports a Reaper (.rpp) session with one track per channel, named and colored to match.

Steps

  1. Bring in the input list. Type it, import a rider or photo, or pull it from an existing console file.
  2. Review channel order. Track order in the Reaper session follows input list order — confirm it matches your snake/stage box before export.
  3. Export the Reaper template. Choose the DAW export and select Reaper; load·in writes a .rpp project with pre-labeled tracks.
  4. Open it in Reaper. Load the .rpp, route your interface inputs to the labeled tracks, and you're recording or running virtual soundcheck.

Ableton Live, Adobe Audition, Cubase/Nuendo, Ardour, and DAWproject (Studio One/Bitwig) templates export the same way.

Because the template comes from the same input list as your stage plot and PDF, the track names in Reaper always match what's on paper at the gig.
