back·line
back·line is gear inventory and projects. It tracks what you own, builds the pull sheet for a show, and checks gear out and back in.
Signing in
The app asks you to sign in. In demo mode, choose one of the demo accounts. On first open it asks how you will use back·line (Warehouse, Manager or Owner) and starts with sample data. Clear All Data in Settings removes it.
Where things are
- Dashboard: alerts, active assets and projects.
- Scan Station: check gear out and in by barcode.
- Inventory: your assets.
- Transfers and Maintenance.
- Projects: events and their stages. Shown in Admin mode, with Availability, Alerts, Locations, Vendors, Purchasing, Reports and Import.
- Settings: the organisation, users, plan and data.
Add gear
Open Inventory and tap Add Asset. Fill in the Name, Manufacturer, Model and Department, and the serial number, condition and notes if you have them. Tap Create Asset. For a whole list at once, use Import Data.
Make a project
Open Projects and tap New Project. Enter the Project Name, the Client Name (filled in from your gain·stage details when they exist), the venue, the start and end dates, and the equipment lines with Add Item. Tap Create Project. A project moves through stages from Inquiry to Completed with the arrow buttons.
The pull sheet
Open the project and tap Pull Sheet for the list of what to pull, with a Packing List view and scan progress. Verify Pull checks items off by barcode.
Show Pull Sheet builds the list from the channel list saved in load·in. Choose the stage box type and its outputs, then Add to project. Without a saved channel list it says so. A list older than 30 days is not used.
Dispatch and return
At the In Prep stage, tap the arrow to Dispatched. The app asks to confirm when the pull sheet has not been verified. Process Return checks the gear back in.
In the suite
back·line reads the channel list for Show Pull Sheet. Dispatching a project saves its gear list for the other apps, and Stage Plot on a project sends the gear to load·in. back·line has no step on the Your first show card.
