show·call
show·call is the cue list for the night. Each cue has a number, a name and the targets it sends to. GO fires the cue on standby and moves to the next.
The tabs
- Call: the cue on standby, the next cue, and the GO, STOP and PANIC buttons.
- Cues: the list, and the form to add or edit a cue.
- Macros: one button that fires several targets.
- Link: the connection to a node, and the screens, devices and safety settings that need one.
First open
The list starts empty. The Call tab says there are no cues yet and shows three lines on how the app works. Got it closes them for good on this device.
Add a cue
- Open Cues and tap Add cue.
- Enter a Number. The next whole number is filled in. A number such as 3.5 works, and each number can be used once. Enter a Name.
- Set the target. Choose a department (Audio, Video, Lighting or Other) and a protocol (OSC, UDP, TCP, MIDI, HTTP, Macro or Device profile), then the Host, Port and Address. Tap Add target for a second target.
- Choose what happens after the cue: Wait for GO, Follow or Auto-continue, with a Delay (ms).
- Add Notes if you want them, then Save.
Cue numbers are yours. The app never renumbers them. Tick two or more cues and tap Fire together to group them, and Ungroup to undo it.
Call the show
On Call, tap GO, or press the space bar. The cue on standby fires and the next one takes its place. STOP stops what is running. PANIC asks for a second tap on Confirm PANIC within four seconds, then sends the panic and holds the list until you tap Reset. Reset calls on the Cues tab returns the playhead to the first cue.
Without a node the list still plays, and each cue is marked called with no node.
Macros
On Macros, tap Add macro, give it a Macro name and its targets, and Save. Firing a macro needs a node connection.
The node link
Sending to the outside world goes through a node. On Link, enter the Host and Port, and the Pairing token, then tap Connect. The node link is part of the go·for·show suite. Calling without a node is free.
In the suite
The cue list belongs to the show: show·call takes the show name, venue and date from the show saved in load·in. Your first-show steps here are Cues built and Show called. See Your first show.
